Copilot Actions
Copilot Actions enables Copilot to complete real-world web tasks on your behalf. The design centers on explicit invocation and progressive disclosure—actions are triggered deliberately, the system shows what it plans to do before acting, and users can intervene or cancel at any point.
This approach prioritizes predictability over speed. It makes behavior legible and reversible, which was critical for trust at scale.
A key focus was failure handling. Agentic actions fail in ways traditional UI does not. The system surfaces uncertainty explicitly, preserves conversational context after failure, and allows users to recover without restarting the task.
Integrated with leading travel, dining, and retail partners. Launched at Microsoft's 50th Anniversary event.
